Rough Rider

So it's been two whole weeks since I have last updated my blog. Between the horrible weather, total boredom, and having my parents over, there just haven't been much to write about. A horrible ice storm blew over the area on Sunday and it left my parents without power and heat. They came on over to my apartment on Monday. They went back home on Thursday when their power was restored. Lucky for me, they buried the power lines to the apartment complex. The cable and my internet were dead for a few days, but that's no big deal. It snowed a couple of inches today; it was very, very beautiful.
Today I went and saw Alvin and the Chipmunks. It was a great movie; I would rate it 8.75/10
. I am not going to give away any details because I don't want to spoil the movie for anyone.
Pictures of my apartment are coming soon! Expect a longer, more vivid post on Wednesday!

Depression
Posted Dec. 1, 2007 @ 3:50pm
I have been pretty damned depressed recently. A few weeks ago, and old girlfriend of mine called me and we chatted for a bit. She reminded me of our wonderful relationship; she then said that our relationship "could have been better if we lived closer". We lived plenty close, or so I think; 1.5 hours apart. The only reason I didn't visit all that often is because of the high gas prices. Either way you look at it, it is tragic from a multitude of angles. We met in the oddest of places -- the loony hospital. I can only hope that I get better as the days progress.
My desktop is coated in winter colors. I'll switch to a snowy/Christmas desktop around the 15th of this month. Attached to this post is a scaled version; click it for the full size! Still haven't put up pictures yet, give it a wee bit more time! I'll post soon; GO MIZZOU TIGERS!
