Touch it, Live It

I haven't done much over this past week. Exercised and played video games -- the usual
. I am almost finished with Lucky Star and am on book III of the Stand Alone Complex series.
Speaking of anime, my copy of Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence should arrive around Friday. I am going to watch the hell out of it once I have it in my possession. I am also going to rewatch Trigun for the n^(inf.) time.
Tomorrow I am going to begin reading White Maze; the final book in the SAC series. After I read that, I am hoping to get my paws on the Trigun Maximum series.
Short post deserves a short image.

Grievances Ahoy!
Posted Apr. 23, 2008 @ 4:00pm
Before I begin my rant today, I would like to wish a belated birthday to my cousin, Cassidy. Hope you had a good one, girl!
My dad and I are working on an epic project: digging a bigass stump out of my parent's yard. If I complete the task, I will be awarded a hefty sum of cash. The amount of money depends on how well I do the job. I plan on giving a 110 percent effort on this big job. I think it's actually kind of fun; the deadline is next Saturday -- I plan on having it done by next Tuesday at the latest
. I really love doing manual labor; good exercise and I get paid to boot! I took yesterday and today off, but I am going to put in two or three hours worth of digging and rock heaving.
Today I went to the Springfield Mall with six other people from my apartment complex. I was very disappointed; the mall was very, very small. Our mall here in Joplin is around the same size in store number and square feet. I have no money on me, so it was all window shopping. Rather sad news, though. The Hot Topic store there had Paramore t-shirts in stock; unlike the Hot Topic at the Joplin mall. Springfield doesn't even have a video store in their mall!
I got into a scrap last night with someone who lives in the apartment across from me. I told him that he had a foul odor radiating from his apartment. He promptly responded with, "you must have your head up your ass." He repeated this statement around four times. The he followed me and starting ripping off insults; I pounded the wall and he ran off to his room. I filed an official complaint; this is his ~7th offense, so he might be leaving

Ghost on the Half Shell
Posted Apr. 17, 2008 @ 3:30pm
My wrist, which I had a hairline fracture on, is finally feeling better. This coming Monday, I am going to try and lift weights again; I tried it last week and I about wet myself
.
The accident occured about a month and half ago. I was crossing Main Street and this car turns on and floors the accelerator. The car clipped my leg and I rolled just in time to save the rest of me. I rolled right across my wrist, which was bent at a very akward angle.
I am almost done with book II in the SAC series, Revenge of the Cold Mahcines. The book itself is really three stories. The first story is about an assassination attempt on the Section 9 chief, Chief Aramaki. The second one was a first-person narritive of a Tachikoma. I have yet to read the final story, but as soon as I do, I will post all about it
.
Last Friday, I ordered a copy of Ghost on the Shell 2: Innocence. I am hoping that it will arrive either tomorrow or Saturday-Tuesday. I'll post again in a few days or once I finish Revenge of the Cold Machines.

Book I Done!
Posted Apr. 8, 2008 @ 6:50pm
Today I finished The Lost Memory; the first book I've read in quite some time. It was a very well-written novel with an O'Henry ending to boot. To sum the book up in a few sentences, it was about a terrorist group that stole and sold illegal memories from the population's cybernetic minds. As with the ending of the movie and series, the Major's body gets destroyed; she finds a way to save the day, though. I would rate the book with an overall score of 9.5 out of 10. I am looking forward to book II in the series
I went and saw The Eye starring Jessica Alba today. It was a good movie; as a schizophrenic, I was a little freaked out by the whole vision thing. I couldn't finish the movie (too creepy for me, and I don't scare easily), so I can't offer a summary. From what I saw, I'll rank it 7/10; watch it
.
I finally came into possession of the entire subbed Lucky Star series. I left off at episode eight, so I decided to start from scratch. I've watched thru episode ten; I am moving at a pace of two episodes per day. My favorite character is Konata
. The series is so much better than Azumanga Daioh in terms of high school comedy.
Now here in beyond-poor quality...the opening theme from Lucky Star (it's actually very silly and quite cute).
