Revolution and Twilight Princess
Posted Jun. 28, 2006 @ 2:30pm
So today I picked up a copy of EGM at the local magazine rack. All I have to say is graphic whores and Nintendo fan boys rejoice! I know they've been around for awhile, but I saw some pretty nice screenshots of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. There's no more cel shading like in Wind Waker (thank god), but rather more like Ocarina of Time on steroids. Here's some screenshots courtesy of EGM (straight from the magazine). They got blurred just a tad bit by the old school scanner that's at this house:

What's interesting to me isn't the graphics, but rather the control style. It appears that in order to launch the bow, you will actually have to arch your arm back as if holding the bow itself. To me, this is truly ####### awesome.

This will give the game a much more realistic "feel" than I originally thought. This might be the only reason I pick up a Revolution. Nintendo really needs to learn to be original with their games. All they seem to be doing is pumping out the same old #### but with better graphics. Getting back on topic here, I am looking forward to this game's release in winter 2006 (correct me if I'm wrong please). If you have anything to add/argue to this post, please take it to the comments, not my inbox n__n

I would like to take the time to wish my dead grandmother, who would be 83 years old, a happy birthday. I love you and hope you have a wonderful afterlife.

Warcrack Goes Wrong

After work today I decided to settle down with a little World of Warcraft. Lo an behold I log onto a server with NEWWWWWWWWWWWBIES. For those who know a little about the game, let me give you an example of what I'm talking about.

Along with this idiocy, we had a mage in the group that INSISTED on using area of effect spells on any and everything in sight. This including elite and boss mobs. The only person that seemed to be in their right state of mind was a druid. Though you have to admit its pretty sad when a rogue (I was playing my level 31 rogue) tanks for most of the instance. Now if you'll excuse me, I have some more farming to do on my warrior.

Work Rant

Worked today from 7am-7pm CST. Sucked as usual with all the standing on concrete all day bored off my rocker. Guy's gotta chase the buck down somehow though I suppose. It's a damn good thing I'm going to college so I don't have to work at factories for the rest of my life. I do suppose that you can't really go wrong with the pay I'm making though. I'm not going to say exactly what it is, but it's sure nothing to sneeze at!

Long Time No Post!
Posted Jun. 22, 2006 @ 11:10pm
My HDD crashed awhile back, so I lost most all of Nerblog. Thankfully, Irayo had backups of some files. For the most part, Nerblog is back and running. There are a few minor things missing, but I'll add em in as time goes on! Currently the RSS service is down (I'll take care of that tomorrow). I've added contact information and a calendar script to the blog. To give credit where credit is due, I got the calendar script here, but did some serious editing n__n.
