Tooth Pain
Posted Aug. 30, 2007 @ 3:45pm
My teeth hurt. It's not a cavity kind of hurt; though at first I thought it was. All in thanks to the medicine that I take, my teeth are hyper sensitive. Cold and hot extremes anywhere in my mouth hurt like holy hell. The epicenter of my pain is the leftmost region in my mouth. I avoid chewing and drinking on that side but it still doesn't help. My mom bought me Sensidine -- it's a toothpaste to aid those with sensitive teeth. When I finish the bottle, and boy is it ever a big bottle, I'm going to see if I still hurt. If I do, it's time to go to the dentist...(ulch). I'm not afraid of the dentist or anything. It's just...well with the poking and stretching of the jaws...it's discontenting. The pain is bearable, but what I would do to get rid of it
. In any case, my tooth pain should subside fully in a month or so...at least that's what I'm hoping.
Dirty Grandpa had to go to the hospital last night because his blood pressure was too low. (Un)fortunately, he got out of the ER about two hours later. I took him some of the household's tomatoes today. I also took him to the bookie to cash his lottery ticket in. He won four dollars; he then purchased four dollars worth of lottery tickets; DON'T SPEND IT ALL IN ONE PLACE!
My parent's anniversary is on October 30. I was going to get them, all ten seasons of Stargate:SG1, but my mom decided to start investing in it last night. That made me realize that if I am to get them a gift, I better give it to them early. So-I splurged $330.00 and got them all ten seasons of South Park. My dad is doing so much better it's not even funny.
I got this in my inbox. All I have to say is, "WTF IS BEBO?!"

Bushwhack
Posted Aug. 27, 2007 @ 1:15pm
Two years ago my best friend died. He was not a human friend, but rather man's best friend. I have plenty of human friends and acquaintances, but nothing can beat the unconditional friendship of a dog. They don't judge you or anything of that sort.I remember when I was a little kid...we would dig holes in the back yard. I also remember the day we got him. Overnight he pooped all over the floor. That's when we moved the little puppy outside
.
I can't write anymore; I'm getting sad.
Here's a picture of my old dog: Bushwhack.

Movie Harvest
Posted Aug. 22, 2007 @ 2:15pm
I watched four movies with my family this weekend. They were The Summer of 1942, Animal House, Shawshank Redemption, and Batman Begins. The only one I've seen out of that bunch is Batman Begins, so the rest were all new to me. Out of all the movies I watched this weekend, The Summer of 1942 was by far the best. In my humble opinion that is
. The Summer of 1942 is about a bunch of young kids aged 15-ish that are just starting to notice woomen. There's a lot of sexual references and even some nude scenes (hey don't show anything good, though). The end of this movie actually brought some tears to my eyes. I'm sure everyone has seen Animal House before. It is a comedy about life in a college fraternity. If you have any shred of a sense of humor, then you'll appreciate it
. I'm sure many of you have also seen Shawshank Redemption as well. It's a narrative drama about prison life. I'd say that it's a five-star movie. Last but not least is Batman Begins. The movie shows the beginnings of batman; how he came to be (such as the title suggests). I loved all of the movies; plus we watched some Star Trek: Voyager
.
I'm not sure if I mentioned my mom's green thumb before or not. She is growing pepper and tomato plants. She grew this freakish tomato plant; it's like a Siamese twin tomato. Her tomato plants are growing like a madhouse. Her pepper plants are catching up as well. One of her plants has about eleven plants on the top three or so branches. As a result, she had to put a brace so the plant wouldn't get too top heavy and snap in half. Our backyard is totally transformed: bird baths, gardens, lawnchairs, hummingbird feeders, the list goes on! She also has some very beautiful flowers (I don't know the breed), they're red, white, and purple. There is but one thing missing. That thing is Bushwhack...my Alaskan Husky that died two years ago during my first stay at the loony bin. He was a very good friend. Then again, most good dogs make good friends.
The poetry contest is blooming in full now. Sixteen entries by 7 authors! Read the previous posts for the rules; good luck to the participants! Now heres a picture of the twin tomato. The rest of the set can be found at http://photo.nerblog.net/tomato.

Contest Update
Posted Aug. 18, 2007 @ 7:45pm
With the water temple clear, I went hunting for secret moves and pieces of heart. I am just about caught up with all of them. I decided to head west into the Arbiter's Grounds. I just went past the first room and saved / quit. I'll tackle the dungeon later tonight or sometime tomorrow. The story of Twilight Princess is getting more and more interesting; I can't wait until I finish the game
. I don't play it much, but every time I do, i make tremendous proogress!
I lost my cell phone about a week ago. I searched high and low. All of my searching and what do I find! My cell phone in the pocket of my shorts. I found it while filing for change in a pair of dirty shorts
. At least I have my phone back n_n.
There are about 6 participants and 11 poems entered in the poetry contest. Much better than I expected! For the third time, here are the rules of the contest:
The competition's grand prize is hosting for a personal blog/website; the domain can be your own even
. Good luck to the participants!

I have made some awesome progress in Twilight Princess
. I blazed my way through the Lakebed Temple; I negelcted to pick up a piece of heart. I got the master sword and I really like how I can pass freely thru wolf form and human form. I'm going to take the time to collect pieces of heart and hidden skills before I head west and continue on the main story. Expect a larger post next, plus a poetry contest update!

Healing Rotations
Posted Aug. 10, 2007 @ 5:25pm
Well my dad came home from the hospital on this past Tuesday. His right shoulder is so mangled up that it's not even funny. The good news is that after many weeks / months of PT, he will be able to lift weights again! I'll still need a partner until then, but it shouldn't be too difficult to locate. He is doing remarkably well seeing as he was being cut on two days ago. Right now he is resting; that's what is important right this instant. Over the past few days he has attended a couple of PT sessions; reports I've heard say that he is doing very well with it. I just can't wait until he's healed up and back to work. This is just a minor interuption in the families way of life. The reduced income is not too painful; just means less eating out. On another note, I'm due for an interview for an apartment! There's a big waiting list, but I can fake it for a few more months until I get in. These apartments are for folks with mental illnesses and disabilities. My older readers, and some newer ones, know that I am schizophrenic.
I'm almost done with the water temple in Twilight Princess. I underestimated the subtle challenges of the temple. I was not thinking on my feet, so that added some time on to the clock. I've ran circles around the temple. It's safe to say that I won't make the same mistakes again
.
Don't forget the poetry contest! The rules are as follows:
Of course the grand prize winner, the winner of the final three, gets free blog hosting on my server,

Two Sides to a Coin
Posted August 5, 2007 @ 4:15pm
Not all news is good news. This particular piece of news has changed our family's way of life. My father got into a motorcycle wreck yesterday. A large semi's gust of wind blew him clear off the side. All of his shoulder was totalled. He went in for surgery today; the surgeon placed pins and a piece of good bone in the place of the damaged tissue. What really saddens me, and I know him, he will not be allowed to lift weights again for the remainder of his life. This bums him out because he loves to lift almost as much as I do. This bums me out because I lost the best weight lifting partner that I will probably ever have. I felt like a little kid last night -- crying because daddy was in the hospital. Any one person would do the same if they truly loved their parent(s). I am dealing with it better today; his surgery went very well and he's just all laid up on morphine and sore as hell. Since he'll be off of work for around three months, the family will suffer some financial straits; thankfully I'm moving out soon so I won't be too much of a burden to them! I want to take this time out to say, "I love you, Dad."
So this year my mom decided to try her gardening skills. I know I mentioned this in a previous post, but these suckers are growing faster than a 13 year old with a Hustler magazine. Every day, her cherry tomatoes come in by the quart. Other ones look like miniature pumpkins. Some are yellow, some are orange, and others are beat red. When we were at the grocery store, tomatoes were selling for about three dollars per pound! What I find amazing is that no bugs have gone after the tomatoes yet; mom didn't put any pesticide on them, either!
I don't really care for the yellow ones, they just don't taste quite right. The cherry and beat red ones are actually the best tomatoes that I've tasted in my life! My dad likes to take salt on a slice and eat them that way...I'm not a huge salt fan myself. What I'll do is nab it, wash it, and then eat it like I would an apple. I will also sit there in the shade and pop cherry tomatoes in my mouth. They taste sweet like candy! Gotta loves them there 'maters!
A brief mention about Twilight Princess. I am no longer stuck in the game and am about to start the water temple.

August Gaming
Posted August 1, 2007 @ 5:55pm
Well today is the first day of the month of August. The only thing that August has to offer is scorching temperatures, and I hate that, I can therefore conclude that I hate August. My favorite month is November. Perfect temperatures and thanksgiving! You can't go wrong with that mix! Why does the last month of summer have to be the hottest in conjunction. It doesn't work that way in winter
. Even with the blistering heat, I am still a big fan of summer. December and Januaury both suck bcause they're cold and snowy. Don't get me wrong, I like snow, but it's just so fucking cold! I like winter less because I hate the cold temperatures. In my humble opinion, 60 degrees is the perfect temperature. Anything else is either too hot or too cold. My next favorite season is March; April is close. Those wonderful spring temperatures just feel great! Of course since I'm a November fan, I like the fall feeling as well
. It also makes me mad that August is month number eight. Eight is a good number; October deserves number eight -- bottom line. The months should be reordoered for awesome factor.
As many are aware, I received the Gamecube copy of Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Well...I"m stuck
. On the escort from Hyrule town to Kaik.village; I keep dying! I'm shooting the birds and slicing the horse riders, but somehow a bird always drops a bomb Anyone else been to this part? It's the damned birds that get me all the time. Any help would be nice. So I take all my time shooting birds, then the horsemen shoot fire arrows at the wagon
. Either way, I bet the Wii version is easier and more fun to play than the GC version. I've just gotta get my hands on a wii! This will probably wind up like the Fire Temple on OOT. I spent 2 months on one jump; it's the jump that looks like you can't make it, so I kept trying crazy methods before just jumping. Go on and make fun of me for that, see if I care! I get stuck at the craziest and easiest spots in video games. I'm the guy that has trouble jumping over the first gooma in Super Mario Bros., but can finish the rest of the game blindfolded.
A new writing conntest is going to emerge; It's actually a poetry contest. The rules are as follows:
Them be the rules. You have until September 5, 2007 to wow me with your posts. Please, if you have content already published, don't submit it. The winners will be published on September 6, the day after closing. Then I will allow people to vote on their favorites; the winner will get space on my server to run a blog of their own. They won't use nerblog software. I was thinking more of Wordpress. Point is, the grand prize winner gets space on my server to blog. E-mail entries to omg.wtf.lag@gmail.com.
